I have been working as a freelance editor for both film productions and content creators, completed a remote internship with GAHSP, and have been teaching myself how to do Visual Effects in DaVinci Resolve Studio. I have also written, edited, and directed 3 of my own projects; 2 short films and 1 spec commercial.

Lightsaber Visual Effect Test

NYFA has an excellent program for filmmakers, with multiple classes on editing. However, there were few classes that would delve into the world of visual effects. Through YouTube tutorials, I began to experiment with DaVinci Resolve Studio’s Fusion Engine, which allows for the creation and addition of Visual Effects. Using a combination of both created effects and stock footage, I have started my journey into the world of visual effects. While my skills are at the beginner level, if my workload isn’t too demanding, I follow tutorials online to continue to improve my skills as a visual effects artist.
